St. Stephen's Green - Dublin 2

Client: Stauntons on the Green Hotel

Conservation advisor for a group of 1730s Georgian townhouses which retain early timber wall panelling,  handsome joinery as well as rococo and neoclassical decorative plasterwork. Responsible for advising on localised internal renovations and overseeing the repointing and re-wigging of the brickwork facades together with associated repairs to 18th century sash windows, roofs, wrought-iron railings and ornamental stonework features.

  

Chadwick's Arch - Dublin 8

Client: Grafton PLC

Appointed as conservation advisor for the restoration of this distinctive landmark on Thomas Street Necessary repair works included the removal of deteriorating paint finishes to allow a detailed inspection of the underlying plaster, removal of plant roots and reinstatement of missing ornamental features.

 

 

 

 

 

Lord Edward Street - Dublin 2

Client: Jones Land Lasalle

Conservation advisor for various minor alterations and repairs to the facade of this imposing Edwardian neo-Palladian public building built 1913-15 to designs by the Board of Works.

  

Enniscorthy Courthouse

Client: Aughey O'Flaherty Architects

Inspection and analysis of historic fabric of this picturesque early 19th century castellated mansion designed by James Sheil as part of a feasibility study for the re-use of the building.

 

 

Dalkey Bank 

Client: Krystyna Rawicz & Associates

Conservation advisor for various minor internal alterations at this handsome early 20th century bank. 

  

Dunfanaghy Market House

Client: Tidy Towns Committee

Commissioned to prepare a Heritage Council funded Conservation Plan for a mid-19th century market house which makes for an important focal point in the centre of the town square.
